This course charts the lives (and deaths) of the Pharaohs, the clashes of Greece and Persia, the rise and fall of Rome, the coming of Christianity to the West and the Crusades that followed. We shall cover the full spectrum of Classical history and beyond to the formation of Medieval Europe. No previous knowledge is required.
