Wirral History - People & Events

Tutor: Chris Thompson
Monday 10-12
Term starts 9th January 2012
We look at the unrest and riots that hit Wirral in the 19th and 20th centuries, including the immigration and emigration that went on, the achievements of Laird, Brassey and Vyner, the workhouse, and the Civil War of the 17th century. This is the story of how Wirral people helped shape the world we know today.
