Spanish

Level 1 Monday 12.15–2.15
Term starts 15th April 2013
This course is for complete beginners and aims to develop your vocabulary and knowledge of the language. It introduces you to various scenarios where you will be conversing with other learners and the tutor to increase your expertise and confidence in understanding and using Spanish in a number of everyday situations.

Level 2 Tuesday 10-12
Term starts 16th April 2013
Builds upon the knowledge and skills acquired in Level 1. Whilst the emphasis is still on speaking and listening, you will gradually be introduced to the structure and grammar of the language.

Level 3 Monday 2.30-4.30
Term starts 15th April 2013
This course is for those who have a certain level of Spanish, and emphasises conversation and communication, with an introduction to the cultural aspect of Spain and Latin America. Students may take advantage of their surroundings and apply what they are learning by speaking and discussion with friends during the class.

Level 4 Wednesday 12.15–2.15
Term starts 17th April 2013
These classes are for those who have a greater level of Spanish (GCSE), and build on level 3 to improve conversation & communication, and use of the main tenses. Students may take advantage of their surroundings and apply what they are learning by speaking and discussion with friends during the class.

Level 5 (Spanish Conversation) Wednesday 10-12
Term starts 17th April 2013
This course is for those with a good conversational knowledge of Spanish or have done Level 4. The emphasis is on conversation and communication, and discussion of current everyday topics. Much of the lesson and the audio visuals will be in Spanish.
