Archaeology - what lies beneath? *NEW*

Tutor: Heather Butler
Wednesday 2.30-4.30
Term starts 11th January 2012

A beginners guide to archaeology. If you avidly watch Time Team and have always wanted to know how it’s done then this is the course for you! Archaeology is a fascinating and diverse subject that is hugely enjoyable to study. This course will help beginners get started in everything archaeological – the theoretical, such as discovering how and when it all began and how archaeological sites can date the past. The practical element of the course will include a look at the role of the Archaeologist – excavation, finds washing and recording.
