An opportunity to promote the enjoyment of English Literature through a deeper understanding and a fuller appreciation of writers and their works. Suitable for anyone interested in Literature. Contemporary as well as classical texts tackled. Recommendations from the class joyfully accepted.

This course is intended for anyone and everyone with an interest in literature, regardless of whether they are novices or old hands. It is an informal series of conversations on a wide range of novels, plays, poems and short stories, new and old, contemporary and classic, from Chaucer to Pinter, from Shakespeare to McEwan. All subjects chosen by discussion with the group.
